Sea World

Christmas break is finally here! We spent the last two days in San Diego and enjoyed some much needed family time. We had a great time at Sea World. Mario and I had not been there since we were kids ourselves so it was fun to finally go back. We got a special "behind the scenes" tour that a friend of Marios arranged for us and it was such a treat. We started by meeting "Obi" the 3,000 lb Walrus. Ryan wanted nothing to do with Obi but Mario and I both got a hand at feeding him. Obi inhaled the fish like a giant vacuum. Next we got to visit some Baluga whales. The whales were really sweet, we got kisses, they danced for us and even sang us a song. Last we got to feed Charlie the polar bear. This was Ryan's favorite part, he got to roll grapes down a little opening for Charlie to munch up. We enjoyed the rest of the park as well including Shamu's holiday nights show where Ryan got to see himself up on the big screen and blow kisses during the show.

Halloween

Master Yoda

Our beautiful Princess Leia

Wizard of Oz at Barton Elementary

Pumpkin Patch

The Saturday before Halloween we visited the pumpkin patch. We were all still a little low on energy after being sick but we made the best of it. Ryan was a little unsure of all the jumpers but he had a blast on the quad ride with Daddy!

Apple Festival

A couple weeks ago we had the chance to go to Utah for the weekend to visit with the Tracy's and the Parkers. We spent our Saturday afternoon at the apple festival.

Yummy Caramel Apple!

Ryan called this his "apple caramel"

Paige got to enjoy the apple once all the caramel was gone. She's lovin' it!

Cindi put Paige's hair in pig tails and added a flower. So cute! Something Mommy doesn't have the patience to do, maybe someday.

Siblings

It has been so much fun to watch Paige and Ryan interact. They definitely adore each other and are pretty good buddies. I am hoping they are establishing a pattern for the rest of their lives. Here are just some fun pics of the two of them doing what they do.

Our Big Girl

Last month Paige learned to crawl, and pull up on everything, and climb! She has definitely kept me busy and kept me on my toes!

Being mobile means that Paige can now get in to Ryans toys, and oh does she love his toys!

Pulling up to the table (getting in to Ryans stuff).

Big proud smile "look what I can do Mom"

"And look what else I can do Mom!"

Paige is very active and it has been a ton of fun to watch her learn and grow this last month, lets see how long it is before this lil' munchkin is walking!

Paige's First Food

Gotta love these pictures of the little ones first experiences with food. Paige loved it and even wanted to eat the spoon :)

Sponge Bob Cake

Mario made this cake for our friends little boys birthday last week. He did an awesome job!!

Capistrano Beach Jul 5-12

My parents were given the opportunity to stay in a timeshare for a week at Capistrano Beach. We stayed at the condo with my parents, my brother, my sister and my nephew. It was a full house but we had a lot of fun.

4th of July

So I have been told that I need to update my blog so here goes, lets see how much I can get done while both kids are sleeping (by the way a near miracle for both to be napping at the same time).

4th of July Mario was out of town on a teacher institute trip to Williamsburg VA. The kids and I swam at great grandpas and then headed out to the UofR Fireworks. Both kids were mesmerized by the fireworks. Here are a few pics from the 4th.
