So since Ryan has been a little baby he never seemed to be a great sleeper and it had gotten progressively worse for a while. Every time we tried to work in sleep training and letting him cry himself to sleep we would make lots of progress and he would start sleeping for longer periods of time at night (never a full night). Then without fail he would get sick and we would feel so bad leaving him in his room alone sick and snotty so we would get up and pick him up the second he made a peep. This would always end up in us losing any progress we had made. Finally he started sleeping till 530 am and we were more okay with that until it turned into 5 am then 430 am and then it was over from there. We had gotten to the point where we thought that he would never sleep and neither would we. So for a long time when people would ask us when we were going to have another baby Katie would tell them "Not until Ryan sleeps through the night" So for the last five days Ryan has been in bed by 8 pm and slept till 6 am!!! His sleep strike seems to be over and the timing seems to be just right. We hope that he continues sleeping and then we can start to work in the hunger strike.
Ryan seems to be an all or nothing kind of kid, either he is all for it or all against it. Ryan has been the most difficult kid to get to eat. First thing in the morning he wants a sippy cup of milk and that he all that he wants. He refuses to eat anything else. The other morning Mario decided that it was time to end this and was ready to have a battle of the wills. Both Mario and Ryan can be very stubborn so we went sure who would win. We offered Ryan everything to eat, Cereal, yogurt, fruit, apple sauce anything!! Ryan refused to eat anything and asked for milk. He only wanted a cup of milk and refused to take anything else. Finally Mario said that if Ryan would just take a bite of anything and swallow it he would give him his cup of milk. So now the fight was on... Finally Ryan asked for a quesidilla, so we made him one and he took a bite and chewed it. Mario was ready for him to spit it out and he didn't so as soon as he swallowed it Mario gave him his cup of milk. We are not really sure who won the battle of wills but Mario likes to think he did. We will see how this goes.

Ok, I am laughing so hard right now because that sounds EXACTLY like Christin. He always wants milk and no food. I really don't know how the kid survives!
Good luck with the sleep issue. Chloe is our nonsleeper and it's a hard change becuase at this age Christian would sleep for 12 hours. Those were the days!!
Gary also loves his milk. He will take a few bites of whatever I give him on his plate and then he wants mine. It doesn't matter if he has the exact same thing I do, it is just better off of my plate I guess.
If it is perfect timing does that mean your are expecting?
Don't you just hate it when you comment and ask a question and they don't reply. Gosh! Some people.
I guess shelli wants us to post on our blog that yes we are expecting.
