So lets start at the beginning of the weekend The 4th of July. It was an early start to the day with our wards flag raising ceremony and pancake breakfast. It was a great way to start the day. Next we came home and got everything ready for the rest of the days events . We barbecued at Katie's Grandpas and Ryan spent lots of time swimming in the pool. Mario headed off early to get in line for the firework at the University of Redlands. Katie's family goes every year and Mario's family is starting to catch the wave. Ryan was a little frightened by the airplane fly overs but he loved the sky divers and was semi interested in the fireworks show (he fell asleep in the middle of it).
A little funny story from the weekend: Mario was telling Ryan to sit down because he was standing on the dining room chair and he said "Ryan Leon" and Ryan responded "Jacquez." Katie and Ryan sing a little song about Ryan Leon Jacquez and apparently he remembers it. So it became a game over the weekend we would say "Ryan Leon" and he would cutely respond "Jacquez."

How fun! I can just hear Ryan saying 'Jacquez'. It is so much fun when they are reacting to things you say.
Looks like a really fun weekend! Kids do say the funniest things at just the right time!
How precious. The technology to save these moments is fantastic. I am so sad that Polaroid isn't making any more film for the instamatics. I did get rid of my typewriter this year. My mom lives on Occidental so we can see everyone in the bleachers. We get out lawn chairs and sit in her front yard. We also bbq. I was disappointed in the show-only 23 minutes and no corkscrews and whistlers. Was the inside floor fireworks worth it? That was a real gong show with Elvis and Cher.
